Finding Eggs

On Sunday the 16th of October, I was at my cousin Sam’s house and they have chickens.

aaaaaThe chickens hadn’t been laying eggs for a week in the coop so Lilly Mae and I decided to look for them and see if they had been laying them somewhere else be investigators so Uncle Russ Lilly Mae and I had a look around the barn for them. We eventually found them but it didn’t take a long time anyway. When we did find them we already had a torch so that was handy and that also meant that we could see them better.  The eggs were hidden in a big pile of logs and other materials too. So we climbed the pile and we asked Lilly Mae my other cousin to get a net. When she came back with the net my uncle Russ brought up a load of eggs with the net (it was a fishing net). We managed to get quite a few eggs. After we had the eggs all in a basket (well we didn’t get all of them) we threw them around the barn and some in the compost it was great fun. (My cousins live three hours away from me so it is very special time when I see them.)
